Edward Richman to Speak at Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center
Edward Richman, President of Richman Chemical Inc. will give a special presentation on Tuesday, April 17th as part of the Regional Biotech Council's Business Development Series (www.ihvr.org/rbc/). The presentation, "Effective Outsourcing for Start Up Companies" will include a review of the myths and truths associated with outsourcing and important considerations to take when selecting an effective outsourcing partner. The realities today for emergent companies (EC's) are that funding and staff is quite limited. Resources by necessity are concentrated on developing the intellectual property that is needed for the next stage of funding. As a result, much of the development and scale up work must be done by others. Selecting and working effectively with the outsourcing community is critical for EC's. Because the choice of an outsourcing partner is so crucial to an EC's survival, Ed's company, Richman Chemical Inc. is working to help companies learn how to outsource effectively by choosing the right outsourcing partners. Considerations, contingencies and planning for custom manufacturing and product sourcing are discussed.

Richman Chemical Inc. (RCI) is pleased to announce the promotions of Christopher Kulp to Director, Contract Services Business and Keith Crumley to Manager, Product Sourcing.
Chris Kulp joined RCI in 1998 and has played an integral part in growing RCI's contract services business. A graduate of both Stevens Institute of Technology and the University of Delaware with four U.S. patents to his credit, Chris possesses more than 12 years of experience in development/production within the life science and chemical industries.
Since 1999, Keith Crumley has brought his expertise to the product sourcing activity at RCI. Possessing an extensive knowledge base, Keith is a vital part of the RCI Team. He continues to assist clients in finding difficult to find chemicals, focusing on building and maintaining essential relationships and ensuring quick and efficient response to client inquiries.
